Rotating, hands-on after-school programming — from electric bike builds to kites to aquaponics — led by adult mentors from the community.
Kids, with the help of parents and community experts, took discarded bicycles and hoverboards destined for the landfill, disassembled them, learned motor controls, electronics, fabrication, and troubleshooting — and built functioning electric bicycles.
A hands-on build session in aerodynamics, materials, and design — students construct their own kites from scratch, then take them outside to see (and troubleshoot) how they fly.
Combining basic plumbing, electronics, and biology, students build a working aquaponic fountain system — a hands-on introduction to sustainable design and closed-loop systems.
